Pre Christmas Gathering...
…before everyone splits town

Last night I was invited to a quaint bar downtown to participate in my ladyfriend’s yearly family tradition of prechristmas drinks and laughs with her, her father, brother & wife, and uncles. After some slight nervousness in the beginning it was a damn good time. You gotta love tradition and I gotta love that family.
Plus I scored some points with them.

Tonight's Dinner for the Pops and Jr Supper Club...
Gumbo Ya-Ya Chicken, Andouille, and trinity in a traditional dark roux, with popcorn rice
Sweet Potato Hash Local sweet potatoes, onion, crisp bacon, scallions, cane syrup
Moon Pie house honey grahams filled with peanut butter fluff and dipped in dark chocolate, with banana ice cream and crispy bacon
Eating all of the above/splitting some, let’s start the insanity….and gain some weight. Always...
