GPOYW - A gift at 2 AM.
My favorite doorman in Chicago, Kevin, who works the door at High Dive (below my apartment) had his last day on Saturday. The guy was great (easily one of the most positive dudes I’ve ever met…positive and very cooooool) and I’ll miss seeing him when I’m going out and/or coming back in for the night. Lots of good conversations on more topics than you could shake a stick at. My gal and I were chatting with him Saturday when he stopped us and said “I wanna give you guys a gift. Lemme snap some photos for you” (He does photography amongst, from what I can gather, 100 other things). He ran inside, grabbed the camera, and did just that.
Take it easy buddy, I’ll try and bounce some punk asses from the bar in your memory.
GPOYW: Paying a visit to a third grade classroom edition. It was extremely bizarre seeing that I haven’t set foot inside a grade school in forever and can’t say I remember much about my own third grade experience. I was completely entertained by all the knick knacks, inspirational posters, and third grade handwriting, which essentially looks like my own handwriting as a 24 year old.

GPOYW: Cooking Nana’s pasta sauce recipe the other night for the impromptu dinner gathering. Something, something, I should have left the track suit on.
