Future Islands set on KCRW’s “Morning Becomes Eclectic”
If you don’t have their last album “In Evening Air” you should really grab it. One of my favorites of the year.
Girls - Lust for Life (Yesterday and Pitchfork)
I think Girls and Neon Indian were my favorite performances of yesterday. Looking forward to their next tours and seeing them both in a smaller venue. Particularly excited for Neon Indian in a small venue to just turn into a dance party.
If these lyrics and background music samples are any indication of things to come, it’s going to be a beautiful record.

Very pumped for this series. Cursive will be doing Starship’s “We Built this City” on here in a few weeks.
After their wonderful first Ep “Frankencottage”, their second is just as enjoyable and for me they remain a band to watch for.
I finally decided to give Vampire Weekend an in depth listen. Before I was just kind of stubborn and kept my thought process as, “If I’m going to listen to Vampire Weekend I might as well cut out the middle man and just listen to Paul Simon”.
With that out of the way, Contra is pretty good.
