Does this mean I can take them off my “bands I wished I could have seen live” list? I hope so.

Girls - Lust for Life (Yesterday and Pitchfork)

I think Girls and Neon Indian were my favorite performances of yesterday. Looking forward to their next tours and seeing them both in a smaller venue. Particularly excited for Neon Indian in a small venue to just turn into a dance party.

New records to be excited for in the coming months:

  • Dr Dog “Shame, Shame”
  • The Hold Steady “Heaven is Whenever”
  • Broken Social Scene “Forgiveness Rock Record”
  • Foals “Total Life Forever”
  • Tim Kasher’s solo album

AND Record Store Day in April.

Good things.

Feel free to add to this list, I’m curious about what I’m missing/what else to be excited for.

I finally decided to give Vampire Weekend an in depth listen. Before I was just kind of stubborn and kept my thought process as, “If I’m going to listen to Vampire Weekend I might as well cut out the middle man and just listen to Paul Simon”.
With that out of the way, Contra is pretty good.
