Tim Kasher - Cold Love

Kasher flexes his acting muscles in this Spy vs Spy-esque video for Cold Love. Pretty enjoyable.

I really dig the album but I’ve been a huge fan of all of Kasher’s work for some time now so there’s no surprise there. I think the way I describe the album to people is that if you were a fan of Kasher’s before this record, you’ll really enjoy the new direction of the arrangements and get some mileage out of it as a whole, but its certainly not the record you’ll use to convert anyone to a fan. It’s also most definitely a record to be listened to as a complete album. Anyways…

Got my “I want everything” bundle from Saddle Creek this past Monday, which was awesome, but really looking forward to receiving the limited 7 in in the mail.

N.A.S.A. Project: “Strange Enough,” ft. Karen O, Fatlip, Ol’ Dirty Bastard (music video)

Fresh jam, even fresher (“way more fresher” if you will) video. The animation is absolutely fantastic.

Still from Interpol’s new video for ‘Lights’ - by Charlie White.
The imagery in the video is well done and pretty striking, still not sold on the song though. Sadly.

“The Curse” by Josh Ritter

New favorite music video. If you don’t enjoy this, I’m not sure we should associate.

“If you listen to the new Josh Ritter CD So Runs the World Away, You’ll hear a wonderful waltz called “The Curse.” And if you listen carefully to the words, you’ll hear a love story. It’s the love between an archeologist and her mummy.

Josh Ritters drummer, Liam Hurley created this magical video for “The Curse,” along with being a drummer Hurley is also a puppeteer” via: All Songs Considered

Vampire Weekend’s new video for “Holiday”.

Completely enjoyable. Kind of reminds me of old Beastie Boys videos, but with powdered wigs instead of mustaches.

One of my new favorite music videos. MGMT - Flash Delirium.

I love the way this is shot and performed with just the right amount of awkward creepy-ness. The color pallet in the video is also pretty slick. Not to mention that it’s a little Lynchy and a little bit Cronenbergy.

Foals debuted a new video recently for their song “Spanish Sahara”. Beautiful imagery and music.

I can’t wait for their new record in May. Their first album Antidotes was one of my favorites of 2008.

Lunch Time Viewing: Marc Webb (500 Days of Summer) directed a new Weezer video for “(If You’re Wondering If I Want You To) I Want You To”.

I really like the video….I can take or leave the song.
